Owners comments: My bike was starting & running fine. I had completed an organised ride ( approximately 2000kms) about 5 months prior to the engine overheating. The bike had been started a few times in that period, but not ridden. No issues. A friend of mine bought an 890 Adv R, so we went for a ride. I only rode for about 5 kms, or around 6 minutes, and the bike overheated. The bike went to KTM. The mechanics said water was in the oil. And the cams were ruined. The radiator was very low. The shop said that the water pump looked ok, and they suspected a failed head gasket. KTM denied warranty because the bike was not serviced at a bike shop.
