Owners comments: I never got the chance to inspect the camshafts myself. This issue was unknown at that time. However, a couple of thousand Km before the engine failure, the bike started making significant different noise on startup. The KTM dealer in Budapest did not know what could be causing it back then in 2020 and told me that it was safe to continue travelling back home to The Netherlands. The next day on the German autobahn the rocker arm broke, the engine lost power and started smoking.
